2017 Harvest Festivities

It’s harvest time in our local wine region! This is the best time of year to visit a local winery and sample the latest wines while enjoying the cooler Autumn season. There are fantastic winery events coming up soon, so mark your calendars in shades of orange and red and get ready to celebrate the harvest!

Pinot Paradise 2017, Harvest Dinner

– Lester Family Vineyards

The Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association presents Pinot Paradise 2017, hosted at Lester Family Vineyards in Corralitos over the course of 4 days of festivities – exclusively devoted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown in the Santa Cruz Mountains! On Saturday, September 23rd from 5-9pm will be the Pinot Harvest Dinner, with wine reception, passed appetizers and a 3-course dinner. In addition to dinner, you can taste exquisite wines, bid on magnum bottles, and celebrate harvest time under a starry sky, all while knowing that you are doing your part because all proceeds will go to benefit Hospice of Santa Cruz County. Harvest BBQ 2017

– Cinnabar Winery

Saturday, October 7th from 2 to 5pm – Join the Cinnabar crew at the beautiful Mission Hills private estate in Saratoga for an afternoon of delectable BBQ from CB Hannegan’s, live music, and a barrel tasting with Winemaker George Troquato. The event also includes a dessert contest, so get baking! There are prizes ranging in value from $60 to $300 for the best desserts, so be sure to register as soon as you know what you plan to bring. Tickets for the event are $65 for members and $75 for non-members, and include unlimited food, a glass of wine, and the barrel tasting.

Napa Valley: St. Helena Harvest Festival 2017:

For 31 years, this day-long family-friendly event has offered something for everyone, from the legendary Pet Parade (pets wear their best Halloween costumes and parade around!), to the Harvest Festival itself. The Festival features live music, kids carnival, wine lounge, food alley, and an array of cool arts and crafts. Local artists, beer and wine makers, farmers, musicians and non-profit organizations lend their talent each year!

  • Wine Walks & Festivals!

    In addition to these winery events, there are also chances to get out and experience the local community and culture of the wine region during these harvest wine walks, featuring wines from a huge assortment of regional wineries!

    The Los Gatos Wine Walk is on Saturday, September 23rd from 1-7pm as a part of the Eat Drink Los Gatos festival. Stroll through charming downtown Los Gatos to enjoy wine tasting and food at local shops and restaurants, listen to live music, and visit the shops! Tickets are $45 in advance or $50 same day, and include a glass and a wrist band for access to all the tasting sites. Get your tickets here.

    The 2017 Downtown Campbell Fall Wine Walk will be on Wednesday, September 27th from 6-9pm. 31 exquisite wines will be waiting in Downtown Campbell for a leisurely night of wine tasting and community.
