Those of us who appreciate having entertaining things to do on weekends, may sometimes wonder how to keep it fun in Wintertime, once it gets cold, windy and wet. How many Netflix binges will you survive? How many doilies can you possibly crochet? Thankfully, wine tours take place 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
Which means that even in pouring rain, your executive-style coach pulls up right in front (at your office or home) – to whisk you and your business colleagues/friends into the nearby hills where you’ll dash inside the winery for a warm welcome and a wine glass of cheer. Many of our local wineries are open 7 days a week, so take your pick and we’ll take you there! Wine tours are definitely the perfect way to spend a cold/sunny/raining Winter’s day. We take groups of 10 to 500 – call to book your very own Wintery Wine Tour: 408-867-9661
Upcoming Winter Happenings in our local wine region:
Jan 6th: South Bay Wine Tours (that’s us!) presents a wine tasting tour in the Gilroy area – come along on the wine sightseeing tour, hosted by a knowledgeable tour guide. You can buy one ticket on the bus, or several. Sunday Jan 6th is a Gilroy tour with an indoor winery picnic. Read more and purchase tickets: Public Tours
On Tuesday, Jan 14th, Cinnabar in Saratoga is hosting a Library Wine Evening, with winemaker George Troquato. Check it out: https://scmwa.com/event/library-wine-tasting-at-cinnabar-winery/
Start the new year with a vow to “Visit More Local Wineries” – you’ll be amazed by the good wines and fun times. A great way to do it is with a Passport – Buy a Passport from the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association and spend 2019 exploring and supporting your local winegrower! Passport Day happens 4 times a year and the next one is Saturday, January 19th: https://scmwa.com/event/scmwinepassport/
And on Jan 27th, you can catch Carlos Padilla at Clos LaChance, from 12 noon to 3 pm, rain or shine! https://www.clos.com/
